Director of Product Design and Development
Steve joined Environ Architecture in 2013 as the Director of Product Design and Development. With a Bachelors of Fine Art in Sculpture and Drawing from the University of Loughborough, UK, and experience owning several successful advertising and product development businesses, Steve brings a unique perspective to the Environ team. Prior to joining Environ, Steve was a principal in Padden/Eaves and Associates, an advertising agency (1983 to 1989), was Vice President of Cold Steel, Inc. (1989 -1994), and he founded Tool Logic, Inc., and built the company into an international brand of compact multi-tools (1995 to 2010.)
Steve’s knowledge base includes advertising and marketing, branding, product inception, design and development. This includes the use of 3D printing, laser cutting and related technologies to produce functional product prototypes. Steve was awarded as Winner of the Northern Young Contemporaries Exhibition, UK in 1972 and was a Playground design team member for “A Play for Space”, for Paris Biennale, France in 1972. He has extensive experience in international business, particularly in Japan, Taiwan and China.
