Aimee's First Art Show
During the collective period of isolation we have come to know as quarantine, some truly beautiful things have emerged in the face of sudden obstacles and major life-shifting changes!

We would like to take a moment to honor and acknowledge our extremely talented (and very busy) Chief Operating Officer Aimee Mandala, and her phenomenal collection of hand drawings that she has been meticulously working on, while simultaneously taking on the challenge of both managing the business operations of Environ Architecture remotely, facilitating distance learning at home with her two children, while maintaining her duties as a committee member of the Downtown Long Beach Alliance and board member of The Long Beach Chamber of Commerce Women’s Business Council, all at the same time.

Aimee’s themed concentration is called “Handmade: A Craftsman Drawing Series” which currently features 31 charcoal and graphite pieces that focus specifically upon the working hands of craftsmen of various industries, their finely crafted work wear, and the old vintage tools that they use.

We are proud to announce that one of the pieces from her series, named “The Billy Boot” has been selected out of 400 submissions in an international open call to hang in the Shockboxx Gallery in Hermosa Beach during a virtual gallery humorously entitled "2021?” on Saturday October 10th via Zoom at 6:30PM PST. This will be Aimee’s first gallery show!

Not only this, but Aimee has also recently received her very first commission to create a custom piece for a customer. This one is called “The Longshoreman.”

We continue to marvel at Aimee’s tenacious commitment to her various roles and responsibilities both in and out of the office, while somehow finding the time to excel in her personal artistic medium, which is both inspiring and noteworthy! We are so excited to share her artistic firsts, (the firsts of many) and look forward to watching her keep cranking out new pieces and get the praise she deserves for her hard work!

Please join us for Aimee’s first gallery show via Zoom on October 10th at 6:30PM PST for the Opening Reception of “2021?” At the Shockboxx Gallery in Hermosa Beach. Details Below! We hope to see you there! https://www.shockboxxproject.com

Aimee also sells her pieces on the online platform Artsy, and is currently open for commissions for custom pieces. Visit her art below!
