Julianna Roosevelt

Landscape

Julianna comes to ENVIRON with twenty years experience designing and consulting in the landscape of private gardens and public spaces here in Southern California and internationally.

Roosevelt Design Studio combines site specific planning, research and documentation with the latest in drought tolerant plant choices reflecting the diversity of our Mediterranean climate.
Julianna's gardens are innately personal in nature. Her commercial work involves creating highly functional spaces with thematic design incorporating new or existing architectural styles with user needs.

Her work has been displayed at the Los Angeles County Arboretum, the Venice Home and Garden Show, the Garden Conservancy. She lectures on the preservation of historic gardens and the Art of the Edible Garden.

She serves along with Alan Burks, ENVIRON founder on the Cultural Heritage Commission of the city of Long Beach and volunteers creating gardens for the Blu Butterfly Homeless Veterans Project and is currently working on a vertical scent and texture garden for the vision impaired at the Lyons Center in Oakland, California.
